Plans change. Here is exactly what happens to your deposit when they do. These are the same rules the booking page and your confirmation email use.
The short version
- Every online booking takes a $50 deposit, and it is applied to your total.
- Cancel or reschedule 48 hours or more before your arrival window: full refund or a free move.
- Less than 48 hours: no cash refund, but your deposit becomes a credit for one reschedule within 90 days.
- Same-day cancellations and no-shows forfeit the deposit.
- If we cancel on you, you get a full refund.
Deposits
Online bookings take a $50 deposit to hold your arrival window. It is not an extra fee. It comes off your total, and you pay the balance after the install. The exact amount is shown before you pay.
Cancelling or moving with plenty of notice
If you cancel 48 hours or more before the start of your arrival window, we refund your deposit in full. If you would rather move the booking, you can reschedule for free. Use the link in your confirmation email, or call us.
Cancelling or moving with short notice
Inside 48 hours, the deposit is not refunded in cash. Instead it becomes a credit you can use for one reschedule, booked within 90 days. If the credit is not used in that time, it expires.
Same-day cancellations and no-shows
If you cancel on the day of your appointment, or nobody is home to let Mike in during the arrival window, the deposit is forfeited. Same-day changes cannot be made online. Call us and we will do what we can.
If we cancel
If THE HANGMAN has to cancel your booking for any reason, you get a full refund of your deposit, or a new date if you prefer.
Custom quotes
Jobs that need a custom quote, such as brick, stone, fireplaces or larger TVs, show their own price and deposit before you accept. Once you pay a quote deposit, this same policy applies.
Refunds
Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through our payment processor. Most banks show the refund within 5 to 10 business days.
