WHAT DRIVES THE COST OF TV MOUNTING?
Seven things decide what TV mounting costs: the TV’s size, the wall it goes on, whether there is a fireplace, how the wires are hidden, the type of mount, how many TVs, and whether an old mount has to come down first. A plain drywall wall with a 65 inch TV is the simplest job. Each extra factor adds time or hardware.
- TV size. Up to 75 inches is standard. 76 to 85 inches adds $69. Over 85 inches is a custom quote. See large TV mounting.
- Wall type. Drywall over wood studs is standard. Brick or block adds $99. Stone, tile, stucco, plaster, metal studs, concrete and exterior walls are a custom quote.
- Fireplace. A drywall surround adds $79. Brick, stone and stacked stone fireplaces are a custom quote. See over-fireplace TV mounting.
- Wire hiding. From $49 for a cord cover to $179 for an in-wall plug-in power kit. See hide TV wires.
- Mount type. A basic tilt mount is included. Full motion adds $79. Pull-down, ceiling and articulating arms for 75 inches and up are a custom quote.
- Number of TVs. Up to two per booking. The second TV is priced per TV on the booking page.
- Removal. Taking down an existing TV and mount adds $49. See removal and relocation.
*Most standard jobs. Basic mount included. Specialty installations and additional work may cost extra. Final price confirmed before installation.
