Picking the height

EYE LEVEL BEATS NECK STRAIN.

The center of the screen should sit close to your eye level when you are seated, which is about 42 inches off the floor for a lot of couches. A TV hung too high is hard on your neck. Try the free height calculator before install day, then we fine-tune the spot together before I drill.

Bedrooms are different: if you watch from bed, the TV usually goes a little higher. More on that in the height answer.

Carnes Crossroads is a master-planned community off Highway 17A in Berkeley County, and many homes there are newer builds with drywall over wood studs. If your plan has a bonus room or a bedroom TV wall, I can do two TVs in one booking. The second TV is priced per TV on the booking page.

If the wall is drywall over wood studs, it is a standard install, whichever room it is in. Living room, primary bedroom, bonus room or the kids’ room all get the same process: studs found, height agreed with you, mount fastened into wood, and a level check before I leave.

Can you mount a TV in a bedroom or bonus room?

Yes. On drywall over wood studs it is a standard install, whatever the room. Bedroom TVs often go a little higher if you watch from bed, and we agree the height before I drill.

I want two TVs mounted. Can I book both?

Yes. You can book up to two TVs in one visit online. The second TV is priced per TV on the booking page. Three or more TVs get a custom quote.

Can you mount a TV above a gas fireplace?

Usually. A drywall surround is a priced add-on of $79 that includes a heat and height check. Brick or stone fireplaces get a custom quote. See over-fireplace TV mounting.

Can you move my TV from one room to another?

Yes. Removing the old TV and mount is an add-on of $49, then the new wall is a regular install. Patching the old holes is not included. See TV mount removal and relocation.

What does the standard install cost?

A standard install is $229 with a basic tilt mount included, or $199 if you supply the mount. Final price is confirmed before installation.
