These terms cover booking and using THE HANGMAN’s TV mounting service and this website. By booking or using the site, you agree to them. They are written to be read, so please do.
The service
THE HANGMAN mounts TVs in homes. The standard install covers one TV up to 75 inches on drywall over wood studs, with a tilt or fixed mount included. Anything else, such as brick, stone, fireplaces, larger TVs or more than one TV, is priced as an add-on or quoted before work starts.
Booking and pricing
Your price is shown before you pay, along with what it includes. Prices on the site can change, but the price confirmed on your booking is the price you pay for the job as booked. Promotions apply only within their stated dates and terms. Applicable sales tax is shown at checkout.
Deposits, cancellations and rescheduling
Online bookings take a deposit that is applied to your total. How refunds, credits and reschedules work is set out in our Cancellation & Deposit Policy, which is part of these terms.
Your part
- An adult 18 or older is home for the whole arrival window and the install.
- The TV, and any mount you are supplying, are on site, unboxed or ready to unbox, and undamaged.
- The wall area is clear, with furniture moved back enough to work safely.
- You tell us, as far as you know, about anything behind the wall, such as pipes, wiring or past repairs.
- The details you give when booking, such as TV size and wall type, are accurate.
If the job is different on the day
Mike checks the wall before drilling anything. If the job turns out different from what was booked, for example brick behind the drywall, metal studs or a bigger TV, he will explain what changes and what it costs before doing any extra work. You can approve the change, keep the job to what can safely be done as booked, or reschedule. Mike may decline any part of a job he judges unsafe for your home or your TV.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. The balance is due when the job is done. If a payment fails or is reversed, we may ask you to pay another way.
Concerns about the work
If something does not look right after your install, contact us as soon as you can and we will work with you to sort it out. Please do not have someone else rework the install before we have had a chance to look at it.
Limits of our responsibility
We take care in every home. To the extent the law allows, THE HANGMAN is not responsible for problems caused by hidden conditions we could not reasonably know about, by equipment or mounts we did not supply, or by changes made after the install. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the job. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that cannot be limited.
Text messaging terms
If you opt in by ticking “Text me appointment updates and occasional offers from THE HANGMAN. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.”, you agree to receive text messages from THE HANGMAN at the number you provided, which may be sent by a person or an automated assistant.
- Messages include appointment updates (confirmations, reminders, arrival notices) and occasional offers.
- Consent is optional and never a condition of purchase. You can book without it.
- Message frequency varies.
- Msg and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or call us.
- Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your mobile information is not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing.

Using this website
You may use this site to learn about our services, use the free tools and book. Please do not misuse it, for example by trying to break its security or sending automated requests. The site’s content, including the Mike character, artwork and logo, belongs to THE HANGMAN and may not be copied without permission. Free tools such as the height calculator are guides, not professional advice for your specific wall.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in place when you book applies to that booking.
